Carolina Busquets was born in Santiago de Chile in 1969. From an early age she is exposed to art and artistic expression within her family. She learned various techniques of the visual arts not only with her mother, Loreto Sanhueza, but also with various professors at the Cultural Institute of Las Condes and later studies pastel drawing with Professor Karl Müller. After graduating from Commercial Engineering, in 1995 she began her Bachelor of Art studies at the Pontificia Universidad Católica, until in mid-1997 she traveled to the United States for family reasons. She continued her art studies there with Metal Engraving and Screen Printing workshops at the Carrboro Center for the Arts in North Carolina (1997-1998). Later she studied drawing techniques Human Figure and Portrait with professor Luis Sánchez at the Dallas Center for Visual Arts for three years. In this period she takes Human Figure and Pastel workshops at Southern Methodist University and participates in the Extension Workshops of the Dallas Museum of Art. During these years she begins to regularly expose his works. In 2002 she returned to Chile, where she currently lives and exhibits.
