Enrique Sánchez captures the light on his paintings in a unique way. He was born in Guadalajara, Jalisco in 1940. Since childhood he was inclined to drawing and painting. He studied at the La Esmeralda academy of the National Institute of Fine Arts, located in Mexico City where he has lived since. In the 60s, he was a teacher of fine arts and continued to experiment with various techniques. In the 70s, he traveled around Europe where he held numerous abstract art exhibitions. Sánchez returned to Mexico City where he began to paint the Valley of Mexico as one of the main themes of his works. His artistic career significantly transcended in the 80s, being recognized as one of the best landscape painters in Mexico. His works are part of notable national and international collections and have been part of important art auctions in New York, Mexico and Europe. Dedicated to traditional landscape for most of his artistic career, in recent years he has also been creating contemporary landscapes and abstract paintings.  His studio is located in Mexico City.
