ABOUT THE GALLERY Inaugurated in 1998, Amparo 60 started a careful work to publicize artists from Pernambuco in the main circuits in Brazil. In the arts scene, the Gallery took on an important task that at that time was still absent in local debates, the problem of the art market for contemporary production of visual arts, enabling meetings between artists and the public, production of catalogs and consultation materials , in addition to creating privileged spaces for a differentiated art criticism and public formation actions. Currently functioning as a meeting point between collectors and admirers of art, the Gallery has been increasing the visibility of its casting artists through the exchange of exhibitions with important national and international institutions, such as the Bienal de São Paulo and Valencia and the main Contemporary Art Museums of the parents.
