Descripción
Drawn from the Tucson Museum of Art’s permanent collection and selected loans, this exhibition explores stylistic and conceptual trends in contemporary figurative art. Artists presented here rely on the human figure to examine notions of beauty and identity and to establish psychological states of being. Body Language reveals the expressiveness of the human body as a kind of non-verbal language that communicates to the viewer in varied and nuanced ways.

Included in this exhibition, curated by Dr. Julie Sasse, Chief Curator and Curator of Modern and Contemporary Art, are works by Luis Cruz Azaceta, Robert Bechtle, Casey McKee, George Segal, and Andy Warhol, and many others.

TMA is grateful for the generous support of Tucson Museum of Art Contemporary Art Society.

Presentation of the exhibition at TMA is made possible through the generous support of our season sponsors:

Tucson Museum of Art Board of Trustees, Connie Hillman Family Foundation, James and Louise Glasser, Anne Y. Snodgrass, Frank and Jean Hamilton, Jon and Linda Ender, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Arizona, RBC Wealth Management/ Richard A. Schaefer, Vance L.
